To my Wy-Guy,

I just can't believe my itty bitty baby boy is turning 5!!! I still feel like you just can't be that old yet!! Sometimes I feel like you're still my little toddler and other times, I feel like you're a full blown big kid!! You are such a special boy and I am so so thankful God has blessed me to be your mom!

You have had an amazing year at school!! Preschool is your absolute favorite! On the days you don't go, you're bummed because you just love school SO MUCH!!! You think the world of your teacher and are probably somewhat of a teachers pet. It sounds like you like to be in control of your class and think you're a little know it all! But going to school is your very favorite activity!!

Daddy and I decided to not send you to kindergarten next year, and you were pretty bummed about that! But once I told you that you will still get to go to your preschool, plus you get to go everyday, you were pumped!!! So you're already looking forward to that next year!

You LOVE doing whatever work Grant has brought home, or whatever work he's practicing. Homework is probably your second favorite activity of the day!! You love reading to me and are so so so good at it!! Your newest favorite homework is addition and subtraction problems. You love a good worksheet!! You also like writing, spelling, and drawing! Most recently, in an effort to get your brother writing, I started giving you journal pages to draw and write. You've been drawing Star Wars characters and then writing a sentence about it. You ask for these very often!! You love my holiday school games I prepare for you and we play those over and over and over again!! Your love for learning is pretty incredible!!!! 

You finally started going to your classroom at church which is a HUGE improvement! Even in OK, when our church was your preschool, you still cried even though you went with Grant each week! Never cried at preschool but ALWAYS cried at Sunday school! After moving here and starting at a new church, you wouldn't even attempt your classroom. But a few weeks ago, you decided it would be just like preschool and lo and behold, you LOVED it!! And now that we are going Wednesday nights for small group too, you love it even more! I do kind of miss having you as my little buddy up in church, but I'm so proud of you for being so brave!!!!

You absolutely LOVE playing with your brother and have found many common interests lately! You finally decided you love Legos and building guys is one of your favorite activities together. Star Wars figures and Imaginext are your other favorite things!! You're learning to voice your opinion more and don't let your brother boss you around. You both have learned very well how to compromise.

You have a heart of gold, so pure and sensitive. You always always always put other peoples feelings before you own. You cry if I cry, or you hurt if someone else hurts. The amount of compassion in that tiny little body of yours is a true gift! You love when we snuggle and are always patting my back or my cheek. You definitely know how to show affection!! Your wife will be a lucky lady someday! You have a wisdom for the Lord and definitely use that to guide you in your daily life. You often times have the most profound thoughts about God, Heaven, and scripture. Wise beyond your years little buddy!!

Your thumb and your teddy lovey are still your two favorite objects. Not sure if/when that will end. But you're so so busy during the day its really only when you're watching a show (which isn't that often anymore) or going to bed.

You've been wearing size 3/4 shirts and size 4 pants most of the winter, and a size 9.5 shoe. You're a slow grower like your mama was and that's ok!

You make me so darn proud and I  just love the little man you're becoming. The love you share and the happiness you give just light up my life!! I am so very thankful God chose me to be your mom!

Grant @ Age 7

To my sweet Grant,

How can it be that you are now 7 years old?!? I can remember the sound of your tiny, squeaky, little voice. Your super blonde hair. Your tiny toothed smile. Your big baby belly. I can still catch glimpses of the little you, but you are just such a big and growing boy!! 

You have had an amazing year of kindergarten and Daddy and I are so so proud of you!! You continue to receive compliments from teachers, staff, and parents who get to see you in action. They always tell me how kind, helpful, compassionate, and nurturing you are. Your teacher says you're such a leader and are always in control! I sometime wonder if she has you confused with somebody else, since some of those behaviors are uncharacteristic at home. But to know what a great kid you are at school makes me so proud! You love math and science the best. Adding and subtracting are your favorite. Any new math topic makes you excited! You're always doing math in your head, or asking me what "sometime times something" is. We call you our mathematician! You're moved up to the advanced reading group because you work better when you're challenged. You have strong motivation to become a fluent and independent reader, and I suspect by the end of the school year, you will well be on your way!! Getting you to to do homework at home is NOT easy! Once you're home, you hop right out of school mode (and into jammies!) and into play mode!! I know we have many more years ahead of us for homework, so I try not to push it too hard. But thank goodness for half day kindergarten!!! Next year going full day, might be a hard transition for you!

You are still taking gymnastics and are thriving! You have gained so much strength and skill, its remarkable!! You like to do handstands on furniture, somersault around the basement, and jump off the walls at home! You also finished up your Lego Robotics class which piqued your interest in computers!! You love playing Odd Squad computer games! You are going to take swimming lessons in April to help get you pool-ready for the summer and you cannot wait!!!! 

You love reading books in your bed before you go to sleep! Right now, you've been pouring into your Lego Star Wars Encyclopedia and have memorized what year what certain sets have come out. Or which guy comes with which sets. You just can't get enough Star Wars!!!

At home, you are just a happy camper playing with your brother in the basement all day long!! You break for snacks and for dinner, but otherwise, its play play play til bedtime!! I just love the bond you two have!!  You guys most often can be found playing Legos, Star Wars commands, and Star Wars figures. You set up these elaborate "bases" that include all the imaginext building and castles we have. So you basically take over the whole basement! But oh the fun you two have!!

You still LOVE playing with your stuffed animals, and can sometimes stay up pretty late in your room playing with your brother! You just have the most tender heart for those animals of yours! You still sleep with Cuddles over your ear each night and cover up with your Mimi blanket. And while this is probably incredibly embarrassing for you to read, I have to get it out there- you finally can make it through the night without having to go to the bathroom! For the past 9 months or so, I have woken you up to take you to the bathroom before I went to bed or else you would have an accident, but you are all on your own now and you feel so darn good about it!!! 

You are so excited for summer vacation! You can't wait to stay home all day long and swim in our pool and play with your brother!! You always prefer staying at home or eating at home rather than going anywhere else!!! 

You've been wearing mostly size 7 shirts, some 8's now. Pants/shorts are about 6/7. You're in a size 1 shoe. You prefer soft sweatpants and hoodies around the house, or pajamas. If you wear track pants and a long sleeve tshirt to school, you will come home and change immediately. And don't even think about you wearing jeans or khakis unless its a church day! Comfy cozy is your motto!

You still love me to hold you, cuddle you, and baby you some. I can always tell when you're in need of some affection because you call me "mama" in the sweetest little voice. One of my favorite times with you is when you come downstairs after Wyatt is asleep and we cuddle for an hour and watch a show. One whole hour where we get to snuggle and not let anything else interfere! Those are some special moments to me!!
You've grown a lot in your spiritual walk as well. You don't always outwardly show it, but when we are having conversations, you definitely show me you understand it. The way you treat your brother and me show me that you're learning how to live your life for the Lord and I'm thankful to see you grow and learn on your journey each and every day!

It's been an amazing year for you and I am so proud of the young man you're becoming! You've had alot of changes since your last birthday and you're made it through each one better than I could've imagined! You've been the man of the house and have done such a great job protecting me and loving me when I needed it most. You are so very very special to me!!

Wyatt,

Mommy just can't believe you're so big! 4.5 now?!? Seems impossible that you're so old! My tiny baby boy is getting bigger before my very eyes!! Although I'm very thankful to see you grow and thrive and mature into a sweet kiddo!

Big things happened these past few months for you!! School, gymnastics, basketball!! And its all AWESOME, as you always say!! We ended summer vacation with me being very anxious about you going to school and willingly walking into your classroom. I was worried someone would have you pry you, kicking and screaming, off my leg. And while we had about 1 minute of tears, you quickly recovered, sat down to paint, and never looked back and its been fantastic ever since. You LOVE your school and happily hop in every day (MWF). You tell me about all the things you get to do, and most importantly what was for snack! You're going to have a fantastic year!! Oh funny story-  your teacher told me as she was buckling you into your carseat: She was painting at the easel to show the class what to do, and kids were asking for help all over the place. And I guess you said really loud, "Guys, she only has two hands!" Hehe, I may say that a time or two dozen  in this house! You're a funny guy and your teacher is in for a real treat with you!

You also started gymnastics in August and have LOVED every second of that!! You go Tuesday mornings while Grant is at school and you just can't wait for that day!! The first day, you happily marched into the room, not hesitating for a second that I had to wait in the lobby area. I watched you through the window hang on every word of your instructor. You're the first one to get moving when you learn something new, always wanting to be first in line. You're quite the gymnast, so coordinated! You always say when its over that the class is too short and you ask when you get to go again! I have a feeling I'll be signing you up for sessions throughout the school year!!

You also started basketball two weeks ago! Its every Saturday morning and you look so adorable dribbling your bitty ball, all Michael Jordan like with your tongue hanging out. It's your concentration face and I love it! We think you might Daddy and I's little point guard. That was always our favorite position to play, and at your current stature, that may be in your future! I hope you enjoy the next few weeks before your session is over! A second session of basketball may be necessary too!

You're quite the little learner at home still! Always wanting to do homework, school games, etc. I made a ton of fall/Halloween activities and that has kept you quite busy! You LOVE to read CVC words and play lots of games with those! You like adding and comparing numbers. Sorting and fine motor activities still keep you occupied for a long time too! I got our our Halloween manipulatives and you sit by the supplies and get lost in the fun! Its a great thing to see!!! 

Board games are still your favorite! You will drop anything if I ask to play a game with you! Your current favorites are Uno, Yahtzee, Busytown, Dominos, and Memory. I'm constantly amazed at how quickly you pick up a new game!!

You are still a sweet snuggly, constantly wanting to be held, and covering me with kisses galore! You give the best snuggles and are just the most sensitive, affectionate little guy. You wear your heart on your sleeve and looking at you the wrong way can hurt your feelings. You and your brother could not be more opposite! So I enjoy these precious moments because I know someday the affection won't be so often! Your teddy lovey and thumb are still a package deal and I don't see that changing anytime soon!

You're still a tiny guy- most of your 3t fall/winter clothes from last year fit you pretty well. And you're still wearing a size 9 shoe! My petite baby!!

I am so blessed to be your mom! You're an amazing kid who is going to do amazing things! God has softened your heart just perfectly and I pray he continues to do so! Your heart is overflowing with love and anyone who meets you can see that!! You're a special guy and so proud that you're mine!

Grant,

Wow, I just can't even believe you're half way to seven already!!! Seriously, you are just growing and changing each day and it makes my heart so happy! These past two months have brought about lots of positive changes for you and I'm so happy to see how you've adapted to everything!

You started Kindergarten back in mid-August and have done an OUTSTANDING job adjusting to your role as a Kindie Friend! Your teacher constantly has great things to say about you, which sounds weird for me to say, but kind of surpised by all her kind words. Not that you aren't a terrific kid, but sometimes its shadowed by your crazy antics. So to know that you're thriving and showing what an amazing kid you are each day at school makes my heart so happy! You've taken upon the responsibility for caring for two boys in your class who have special needs and that job is extremely important to you. You recently switched tables and don't get to do as much for the boys as you would like and it brings you to tears each day knowing that you can't be the one to take care of them. I love seeing that sympathetic, nurturing side of you because that is a side we rarely see at home. You are working so hard on reading and learning new words each day! You love math and science and all your specials! You like art because you get to sit by Adalynn, whom I think I have a little crush on. You are still working on your handwriting and have been sent home "practice" sheets a few times, so hopefully the more you work the easier it will get for you! Half-day Kindergarten was definitely the best fit for you! You come home and immediately hideaway in your playroom and decompress alone, after you take of all your clothes of course! Undies are you favorite! You love staying at home, so half day K was perfect for you! 

You also started gymnastics in August and have loved going to that Monday evenings. You complained about it being too hard the first day, but have since learned to do a real cartwheel and you are starting to love doing pushups just for fun! You're getting so strong and I love to see you challenge yourself! 

We struggled with some behavior problems the beginning of August, but now that we are settled into  a school routine, things have been much better! You're maturing each day and you are trying to be the biggest boy you can be! We walk you to school each day and the first few days, we walked you up to the building, but now you want us to stop at the house before we get to school so you can walk the rest of the way alone. You like crossing the street with the crossing guard alone. But the whole way you're walking to the crossing guard, you look over your shoulder and blow me tons of kisses and "hug" your arms and blow that to me too. It's so sweet to see you get so big, yet be so loving to me still! My sweet boy!

You still LOVE your stuffed animals and play with them before bed almost every night. You are obsessed with all things Star Wars. You want to read the books, watch the shows, play action figures, play Angry Birds Star Wars on the iPad, and talk about the characters non-stop. I don't know a lick about Star Wars so you're teaching me lots of interesting facts.You could set up battles with your action figures for hours upon hours! It's definitely "your thing" now! Legos take up alot of your time too, mostly building Star Wars things, but you can whip up a fancy ship or droid in no time!! I can't wait to see where that skill will lead you!

I'm just so proud of the big boy you are becoming! The Lord is shaping you in ways I could only dream and I can't wait to see what plans and great things lie ahead for you!! I am so proud and blessed to be your mom and I hope you know just how special you are!!

Wyatt, at 4 Years Old!

Dear Wyatt,

Oh, my sweet little baby! Not so little anymore! Well, still a little bit little, but getting bigger by the minute!! You are just the sweetest, smiliest, most sensitive little man! I just can't get over the fact that my tiny boy is 4 years old now!!! I remember you as a baby like it was yesterday. The smell of your skin, the sound of your cry, the way you liked to be held. A flood of memories. Yet I'm in love with the big boy you're becoming!

You can make me smile in my worst moments! You have such a tender heart and such sympathy, its incredible. You do not like anyone around you to be sad or upset. You apologize to them, whether you caused the upset or not. One time, not that long ago, you broke one of Grant's Lego creations on accident and Grant kind of grunted and said, "It's going to take me forever to rebuild that." You just kept saying, "I'm so sorry Bub, I'm so sorry." Then you crawled in my lap and said, "I don't think Bubba has ever been so mad at me before." Your heart is pure gold!! And I love that about you! I love when I hold you and your rub your little hand on my back, or rub my cheek, or kiss my forehead and whisper, "I love you!" You like to tell me out of the blue, "I love you Mom!" or "You're the best mom I could ever have!" You really know how to pull on those heart strings!

You are such an obedient little guy. You really do not like to upset me or your dad and you hold true to following what we ask. You seem to be in control of your impulses a little better than your brother. You do cry alot when you don't like the answer daddy or I have given you though. Little tiny things can make you cry, but to you, they are so important! You are still attached that your teddy lovey and your thumb. And while daddy is trying super hard to break you of it, I know it will come in time. At least I hope so!! You're so stinking cute when you do it though!!

You are one smart little cookie too! You still love doing school work at home, but I've been so terrible at getting supplies out for you. I pulled out our Easter stuff I had made up last year and you've really been enjoying that! You love writing your name and the letters of the alphabet. You are very good at that! You love counting and numbers. You like to try and count by 2's and 5's and 10's, but you say counting by 1's is the fastest! You love love love love puzzles and board games. Since Grant is usually playing Legos all day long, you kind of wander around aimlessly not sure of what to do, but the second I tell you to bring out a puzzle or a game, you're on it! You haven't met a board game you don't like! But when Grant does step away from the Legos, you love to play Imaginext with him, or Littlest Pet Shop, or anything imaginary. Spys, Ninjas, you name it! 

You're doing so so wonderful at school! I know you enjoy having your brother there and I do worry about you going to a school all on your own next year. I know you worry about it to, so hopefully we find a school that is a good match for you! Church is still iffy, for whatever reason. Since your church classroom is your preschool classroom. You usually cry and are clingy when we drop you off, but most of the time, you recover fine!

You love your strider bike, big bike, Razr scooter, swinging, basketball. Anything outside pretty much, as long as it's not windy! I hope you'll like our pool at our new house!!

You are a smart, loving, sensitive, playful, goofy, loud, caring, silly, charming, precious little boy!! I love the fact you can still curl up in my lap and fit just perfect! But I also love that you're growing into exactly the type of child I have always wanted to raise!!

Grant, at 6 Years Old!

 Dear Grant,

I can't even believe you're big enough to big 6! I remember so vividly, my pregnancy with you. The trip to the hospital. The long journey that was your birth! Bringing you home, panicking those first few hours. All these memories so clearly etched in my mind, yet so many more have been made since! You are an amazing little boy and I am so so so thankful to call you mine!

You are still just as sweet as ever!! You are truly a kind spirit, although your craziness and impulsiveness does shadow that from time to time! But you have a heart of gold and a heart for God. You are pretty flexible and it really takes something major to get your mad or upset. Being misunderstood or not given a second chance to correct your mistake are the things that make you most upset. But you've been very easy to discipline and I hope we are leading you down the right path! I've seen a great turnaround in how you lead by example for your brother and try to correct your mistakes, and help explain to Wyatt how to do things. It's so sweet to see you nurture him like that! 

You are obsessed with Legos. I'm not exaggerating when I say that you play Legos 99% of your waking hours. If you aren't sleeping, at school or therapy, you're on the floor in the playroom, surrounded by Legos. It's like an addiction that you just can't stop! When we are out and about running errands or what not, you'll blurt out that you have to get home and build. You'll sometimes get out of bed before you fall asleep because you have an idea of something you want to create. And your creations- holy cow!!!! They blow me away each and every time! Currently, you are trying to recreate all the Lego sets from The Lego Movie. You have an "encyclopedia" of all the main characters and sets from the show, and you use that as your guide. Between Christmas and your birthday, you've built up quite the collection! I wonder where this incredible talent will take you!

You've done amazing with all your therapies! At speech, you've mastered your S's and L's and are almost 80% proficient in your TH's. You are starting to work on your R's, which I think is going to be the hardest for you. But you've been at this for a year now and have just done so well and really have fun going each time! You're also doing great at OT. Your music therapy has helped tremendously with a lot of your hyperactivity and your teachers go on and on about what a transformation they've seen you in! I think you are ready for Kindergarten (finally!). Eating is still a struggle for you and nothing really seems to motivate you to eat new foods. I'm hoping being at school will sort of nudge that along. 

You're a true homebody and would prefer to stay home ALL DAY LONG if you had your way, unless that is if it involved looking at new Lego sets. Even if I ask if you want to go out to eat, you would just prefer to stay home!

We are preparing for our move in the next month or two and I know you're going to love being in a MUCH bigger house, is a much bigger town, close to Mimi and PawPaw and Mason and Luke. I know you'll have a hard time without your dad around, as you like to be his little shadow. But I know that you will take good care of me when he is gone! You like to be held responsible and do "grown up" tasks. I think God knew exactly what he was doing to make you the first born. You'll be a leader for sure!

You are a fun, spirited, happy, joyous, grateful, protective, innocent, playful, and loving boy!! As much as I want to keep you little, I love watching you grow just as much and I can't wait to see what the future holds for you my special boy!!!

My-my my little Wy-Wy...how is it that you are half way to 4 already!?! Time flies!! You are just as cute and spunky as ever my little man!

You are loving your first year at preschool and you act like you've been there forever! You got the routine down easy peasy and have loved every second you've been at school! You love having Bubba there, which is why I think you're so comfortable. Plus, most of your friends from church are also in your preschool. You love playing with Brady and Avri, and Bubba too of course! I love listening to you sing all your songs from school, so stinkin adorable!! You're such a smart little booger!

You learned how to ride your big boy bike-no training wheels-last month and you've enjoyed tooling around the driveway and culdesac ever since. You are on one of your bikes every chance you can get! You've also got a pretty mighty swing on your t-ball set. We haven't ever had you in an organized sport of any kind, but I think when you get the chance, you'll excel!

You are still super attached to your lovey and thumb! You often tell your lovey, "I love you Teddy Lovey." Luckily your teeth don't show any signs of thumbsucking, so it least its not doing you any harm. Someday we will break you of it...maybe. I have to admit, I find it adorable ;-) But I could do without you chewing on your lovey and finding it all wet and slobbery...

You still love watching Max and Ruby in my bed and ask to do so quite often. You do love playing Imaginext and Switch N Go Dinos and Rescue Bots with Grant. You haven't quite jumped on the Lego bandwagon yet, but I'm sure time will fix that. You do love playing board games and ask to play them quite often. You love playing Busytown, Jokers Fun House, and Zingo.

You're learning how to write your name, which I just adore. Grant never has any interest in writing just for the sake of writing. But you ask how to write letters and want to know how to spell things all the time. I love your thirst for knowledge- kind of a teachers dream! I hope it continues as you get older!

You still seem small to me- 30 pounds and i think 36" tall, although you seem to be going through a growth spurt, so I imagine those numbers will change soon! You are wearing size 3 shorts, 2t/3t shorts, and size 8.5-9 shoe. You want to ONLY wearing boxer briefs and look SUPER adorable when you do!! 

You are still as silly as cute as can be! You say the funniest things!! I could literally write a book of the things you say each day. Yesterday you said, "I love you Mom because you always do the bestest nicest things for me." You often tell me to ask you why you're so cute- you're response: "Because my mom is so beautiful!" I was trained to say that as a child and I'm glad I've passed it on! 

I just love the cute, sweet, little Mommy's boy that you are- tears, smiles, whines, giggles, and all!! Just one more thing: NO MORE GROWING!!!!

Grant @ 5.5

Its hard for me to even type these words, let alone believe that you are halfway to six years old!! It just blows my mind. Makes me a little sad to think you're growing up so fast, but also so proud to see the big boy you're becoming!

You started your second year of preschool, or I guess pre-K. You're the oldest one at school, but not by much. Although you're not the tallest, much to your dismay! You're proud to be the oldest, and I often tell you that means you have to set the best example. Not so sure you like that responsibility, but you're enjoying your year! You love playing with Owen and Brady, and of course, your little brother! I think you secretly like having him at school with you! You're doing great with your handwriting- getting better each month! We still have progress to make though! Recently you've been into wanting to do basic addition facts as we're in the car. You want to know what 2+3 is, and so on and so on. You're doing great reading your BOB books as well!! I'm so proud of how hard you work, when you want to, that is!

You're still doing speech therapy twice a week, seeing your psychologist twice a month, and are currently not doing OT anymore. Our time allotment ran out last week, so we are trying to get a new referral for a new therapist. You've made HUGE strides, but still have a ways to go before you're kindergarten ready next year! Hoping the referral process gets worked out soon.

You still love playing with your Imaginext toys and Switch N Go Dinos. And you're ALWAYS building something with Legos! You still specialize in making airplanes and cars. You even keep your creations on a shelf in your bedroom (so they stay safe) which you refer to as your "Private Collection" You're so proud of all the things you create. I'm always astounded at the amazing ideas you come up with! You still love all your stuffed animals! You take such good care of Cuddles- I love watching you play "dad" with him!

You're growing like a weed- wearing a size 6 shirt, 5 shorts, and 12.5 shoe. I measured you right before school started and you were 43.5 inches tall and 44 pounds. I wouldn't be surprised if you've grown more since then!! You still don't eat foods like I wish you would, but you'll get there...someday.

You love being outside and riding your bike or razor scooter. You love having your basket on your bike to take Cuddles for a ride. You can't wait to be big enough to reach the mailbox so you can put the mail in your basket! (Hate to break it to you, but that probably won't happen while we live at this house!)

You're just growing so big, so smart, so strong, so wonderful! I'm proud of all you've accomplished and the little man you're becoming! I'm proud to be your mom. I can't wait to see the things God has in store for you, because you are one special boy- I can only imagine the places He will take you in life!!

Grant at 5 years 3 months

My sweet sweet boy!! I still can't believe you're getting so old so fast! You're constantly proving what a big boy you are, and while sometimes its hard to accept, I find joy in you being able to do things on your own!

You are such an independent little man. You entertain yourself all day and just keep busy without me having to tell you anything. You are really enjoying being home this summer and each day you ask, "Is it a stay home day?" You would prefer to stay home all day and just play in your playroom and watch TV!

You are doing a great job at the pool this summer! Still a little more cautious than I expected you to be, but you love jumping off the side and trying to touch the bottom with your feet when you jump in. You like to use your diving sticks in the kiddie pool, but its only about 18 inches deep. You do a great job holding your breath and swimming underwater! I think you're going to do a great job at the lake in a few weeks!!

You LOVE playing with your Legos and making lots of creations!! You also love your Tinkertoys, Switch N Go Dinos, and your endless amount of beanie babies!! You play with those things ALL THE TIME!! All your stuffed animals in fact! Your bed is about 1/3 for you, 2/3 for all your animals! The thought of putting them in the toy box breaks your heart because you "love them all so much." It's so sweet!

You have been a very good big brother to Wyatt! He pesters you alot and most of the time you just say, "Stop it Wyatt!" But sometimes you lost control and we've been working on how to solve your problems by showing God's love instead of yelling and screaming. Its definitely a work in progress, but I see such sweet side of you when it comes to that! You're learning!!

You're doing a great job with all your therapies- currently you are doing speech therapy twice a week, occupational therapy once a week, as well as seeing a psychologist once a week. You listen and behave so well during your sessions and we are seeing progress at home! Still not on the eating front, but you're doing better with your writing and your speech. Everything will fall into place eventually! We've been doing homework a few times a week- which includes Handwriting Without Tears, speech practice, Kindergarten prep workbook, and BOB books! You're doing AMAZING with your BOB books! We made a chart to track how many times you've read your books and you like putting a sticker up each time you read! You're currently reading Box 1 and have made it up to Book 3 and about to move on to Book 4. I just love having you read to me!!

You're growing so big! You're quite proud of the little blonde leg hairs you're starting to get! And you're hoping you'll get a wiggly tooth soon. I don't even want to imagine how you'd look with big teeth! You weigh 43lbs, although I'm not sure how tall you are. Most of your clothes are size 5, and some size 6 shirts. You have a long torso and a teeny tiny waist! Most of your swimsuits are size 2t or 3t just so they stay up around your teeny tush! Your shoes are a size 11.5-12.

You're a very sweet little boy! You're always telling me I look pretty or I smell good, or you like my toe nail polish! You like to give me snuggles still, but not so much just sit on my lap for lengths of time. But just this morning after I fixed breakfast and you ran off to play in your playroom, you came back and said, "You know what I haven't done yet today....give you some snuggles!" So we had our moment and you were off and running. I hope that side of you never changes little man!!

I'm proud of the wonderful brother, son, and friend you are! Your kind and gentle heart really shows through in all you do! We are so proud of you big kid and love you so much!!

Wyatt at 3 years 3 months

Oh Wyatt, how do I even put into words how to describe you!! Let's just start by saying you are one in a million buddy!! You are now 3 years 3 months and as feisty as ever!

You've really been enjoying having your brother home this summer! You two just play and play and play! You never seemed to play on your own when he was at school, but now that he's home, you two get into the most elaborate (and messy!) games! Usually involving Imaginext, Rescue Bots, and Switch N Go Dinos. There's always Legos, Beanie Babies, and Tinkertoys in the mix as well! You two have your fights, which we  are trying to teach you how to solve on your own- which usually means Grant giving in to whatever you want. You're kind of a bossy and stubborn little brother. You will never know how lucky you are to have a big brother who is so flexible! But you two are the best of friends!

You haven't quite liked the pool like you did last year. You're still very cautious, even with your life jacket on. And you definitely don't like to be splashed or get your face wet. Last year, you were jumping off the dock three feet into the lake, but I can't quite imagine that happening this year. We've probably been to the pool a dozen times already, so hopefully you'll warm up to it sooner than later.

You are still such a mommy's boy. You need to be near me or on me, unless you're playing with your brother. But you have to sit on my lap to watch TV, play the iPad, eat a snack. You have to sit on the counter while I'm preparing meals or snacks. You like to stand on the toilet seat as I'm getting my makeup on. You're just a mommy's boy and I still love it!

You still suck your thumb something terrible! And recently, you started chewing on your lovey too. But that lovey is practically glued to your hand at all times. It goes in the car with us, and it goes to friends houses, its everywhere with us!! The worst is when I have to wash it and you just cry and cry until its in your hands again! Sheesh, that is going to be one habit hard to break!!

You still love doing your homework and sitting with us while Grant does his summer homework. You aren't quite adventurous as you used to be in school work- I give you something and you say, "That's too hard for me." Or "I can't do it good enough." Hopefully you'll snap out of that by fall, because you're going to preschool!!

You're a shy guy when people talk to you in public. You always want to be held and tuck your head into my shoulder. You still have your moments at church when you don't like going into your classroom. Some days you walk in and don't even look back, other days you cry and cry and cry. You do like the 3 year old room much better than the 2 year old room! I just hope you like preschool next year, since its in the same room! But having your brother with you next year will probably help alot!

You say the funniest things! You've been playing with expressions, and you use them quite appropriately. You talk in funny voices, walk in funny ways, and you're always the first to tell a goofy knock knock joke that never makes any sense, but we all laugh anyway! You are such a goofball!

You are 29 pounds and 36 inches.You wear 3t shirts and mostly 2t and 24 month shorts, although you do have a few 3t pairs. You finally grew into a size 8 shoe. You like sleeping in only shorts at bedtime, which is so adorable! I just love your soft skin! You've been completely potty trained since a few months before you turned 3, including nights. So that's been totally amazing! Lately you've been so busy playing with your brother, you've been having a few small accidents, so hopefully this is not something you make a habit of. 

You are just an amazing, adorable, and big attitude little boy and we love you so very much!

59 months

I can't believe I've been blessed to have spent 59 months with this big kid!! Almost 5 years old just blows my mind!! I can't even fathom the idea of you getting any bigger because it just seems to crazy!! The days with my little baby, toddler, preschooler are almost behind me- and in its place will be a full blown BIG KID!

You've loved telling everyone this past month that you're about to turn five. I think sometimes you've already tricked yourself into believing you're 5 already! You willingly tell anyone who crosses our path that you're birthday is March 15th, you share it with your brother, and you're having a Lego party. You are so excited!! I can't wait for the big day too!

You've grown so much this past year! You're doing so well in school and you love going. You've got your own little circle of friends, even an adorable little girlfriend (wink, wink). You think the world of your school and your teachers, which makes me so happy! 

You've really been enjoying playing Legos and Tinker Toys. The ideas and things you come up with just blow my mind! Your mind works in a very engineering type way! You use amazing symmetry and have a reason for every little piece you put on there! You specialize in making cars and airplanes with Legos, and guns/weapons with Tinker Toys. But you insist that you're a good guy when using them, so you can stop those bad guys!

You are still very very fond of all your stuffed animals, including Cuddles, Little Cold, Pup, and Dolphie, as well as Blue Blanket.You are quite the snuggle bunny with them!! You make very elaborate stories and pretend play in your bed at naptime and bedtime. You remind me so much of me when I was young!!

You're getting quite big, and if you grown any more you won't have any pants to last you through the rest of this winter! You wear size 5 in tops and bottoms, sometimes 6 in tops! You wear a size 12 shoe. 

You've started occupational therapy this month for a few different issues (that will come in another post) and I'm so proud of you for trying your best! Even last night when we left OT, you said, "Mom, I really tried the best I could today!" I know its been frustrating for you, and its been a little heartbreaking for me, but I'm hopeful we will both be stronger when we're all done!

I'm so looking forward to celebrating your big FIVE next month and I know you are too! You're practically my party-planning assistant!

I love you my little sweetheart boy!!!

35 Months

Is it even remotely possible that this kid is one month away from turning three?? I just don't believe it! I feel like it was just last week when I wrote THIS POST about Wyatt being born. If these three years have flown by this fast, I'm scared to see how fast the next three years go by!

Where do I even begin to describe this little man?? He is just spunky, spirited, smart, and silly. He is overflowing with personality! He lives his life to make people laugh! He is constantly saying funny things, doing funny things, and just being funny!

He still loves to snuggle with me and wants to be held ALOT. I'm really not sure when (if?) that will ever end. He loves to be on the counter with me as I'm cooking, preparing snacks, etc. He just has to be with me all the time! 

He loves doing homework! He asks me just about every day if I am printing him any homework. I feel bad since I don't do it most days, but our day to day schedule has been a little crazy lately. I know I just need to make the time to do it because I'm sure one of these days he won't want to do homework just for fun! But he can trace anything, but he especially loves tracing letters! He recognizes all his letters, uppercase and lowercase, most numbers from 1-9, and all his shapes and colors. He loves art projects, painting, playdoh, etc. He's kind of a teachers dream!

He is still a pretty tiny little guy- he had a trip to the ER a few weeks ago for possible flu (negative though!), but he weighed 27lbs and was 35in. Most of his pants this winter have been 24 months, and his shirts 2t/3t. He is 100% completely potty trained, including nighttime! He looks so cute in his teeny tiny underwear!! He finally grew into a size 8 shoe. 

He loves watching Max and Ruby and Team Umizoomi, as well as Power Rangers and Ninjago (thanks to big brother!). He loves playing Legos, Tinker Toys, farm, and Imaginext. He has the funniest voice when he pretends to make his figures or characters talk- its like this deep, loud, throaty voice that just cracks me up everytime I listen in on him and Grant playing together! 

I can't believe next month we will be celebrating another birthday! My little boy is seriously growing up before my very eyes!! I can't wait to see it all unfold!

Boys in their Chairs

I'm in total birthday mode...even if the boys birthday is still 49 days away! I can't help but get caught up in the emotion of it all- my boys are getting so big so fast!! I'm doing a picture project for their party and have been scouring through my endless amounts of pictures. And then it hit me- I haven't blogged about the boys in their chairs. At least, I don't think I have (although this is my 515th post, so I could be wrong!)...So, now I guess its time to get this one in print. These pictures were probably some of my favorites I have ever put in my scrapbook, and I'm glad I have that tangible copy of these, but getting them in print too sounds like a great idea!

Levi's mom gave Grant this little chair that used to be Levi's when he was a kid. She had it all cleaned and reupholstered and it was the perfect addition to Grant's nursery...and the perfect spot to take their monthly pictures!! Even when Levi was on deployment and we were in Kansas, the chair came with us!! I treasure these pictures so much!

Here is Grant in his chair. What strikes me is that each month he looks totally different! His growth is practically exponential! He didn't have that "baby" look to him for too long. But his personality definitely comes through in each and every picture! Grant's first year was such a blur, yet I remember it like it was yesterday. I barely blinked and he turned one...and now he's almost 5!

And here is Wyatt in his chair. He was so teeny for so long. Most of his pictures were hard to place in order without looking at the dates, since he doesn't change too much from month to month. One thing remained each month though was his super smiley face!! He was such a ham (and still is!) even though he didn't sleep his entire first year of life. And no, I'm really not kidding! But that was the beauty of Wyatt's first year of life- no matter how tortured and sleep deprived I felt, he made me smile through it all, and I loved him more and more each day! And now my littlest boy is almost 3!!!

 I might just have to do a photo shoot in their chair this upcoming birthday, just for memories sake. 

That is, if they can still fit in it...

Wyatt @ 2.5

Wyatt officially turns 2.5 on Saturday! What a quick and crazy these past 2.5 years have been! I have such a hard time accepting the fact that Wyatt wasn't just a baby last summer, that was two summers ago! Its just nuts! But I am loving the little boy he's turning in to!

I'm pretty sure he lives his life to be silly! He's constantly walking silly, talking silly, telling jokes, putting his shoes on the wrong feet just to be silly, putting his shorts on his arm just to be silly...he's just SILLY. He HAS to tell me at least one knock-knock joke every night before going to bed. His latest- "Knock-Knock...Who's there? Orange....Orange who? Orange you glad its time for sleep?!" He just makes me laugh!

He LOVES doing "homework." Each day after we take Grant to school, we come home and do at least 45 minutes, if not an hour, of school activities. He loves tracing letters, numbers, shapes, lines, anything- and he's awesome at it, so he's getting lots of practice! He loves making patterns with magnetic pattern blocks, copying Lego designs I make, making letters and numbers with playdoh, do-a-dot paintings, etc. Sometimes he'll ask me twice a day to do homework! Seriously, love this kid!

We've made huge strides at the church nursery! For the first 4 months of us going there, he screamed and cried and didn't participate in anything for the 1.5 hrs he was there! After telling him he was going to preschool (Grant's preschool is at our church), he couldn't wait to go to church each Sunday! He grabs his tiny backpack and walks right into his classroom and has loved it ever since!

He's still kind of on the tiny side I think. Most of his clothes are 2t but I've bought some 3t shirts too. Most of his shorts/pants are still 18-24 months. He wears a size 7 shoe, and a size 5 diaper.

And while we're on that note, he's no where near potty trained, nor have I even thought about trying! As long as he isn't in diapers when he goes to kindergarten, I'll be happy! (Well, hopefully he will be out of diapers by next fall so he can go to preschool!).

He loves playing whatever his brother is playing- Imaginext, Legos, Busytown, whatever! He's in the midst of it. They do play really well together- Wyatt has quite the imagination and is great at following Grant's lead in their games! He LOVES playing games on my iPhone! He probably will ask to play games on my phone 10 times a day! His two favorites at the moment are Toca Doctor and Jellytoons. 

He loves doing art work- he asks to paint and color frequently. He's got a pretty creative side and can concentrate really hard on a project for quite some time!
He still frequents timeout a few times a week, and has been testing us a little more as of late. But he has a very sensitive heart, and knowing how sad we get when he misbehaves is usually what does that trick anyway!

He learned to pedal his bike last month and loves speeding around our driveway! He likes taking the strider bike (the two-wheel bike Grant used that has no pedals) for a spin or two around the driveway as well.

He still loves being held and is quite the mommy's boy. He wants me to do everything for him, I have to sit by him at restaurants, and buckle him in his carseat. I love that he loves his mommy so much! But I love that his growing a little more independently each day!! 

I've loved spending some one-on-one time with him while Grant is at preschool, something we've never really got the chance to do, so that's been fun for both of us! I'm so proud of my tiny little guy, turning into this smart and funny little boy!!

Grant @ 4.5

On Saturday, Grant will officially be 4.5. Sometimes I feel like he's so much older than that, but then other times, it's hard to believe he's already 4.5!! This will be a big year for my big boy, so I know this time next year, he won't seem so little at all!  

Grant goes to preschool for three hours a day, three times a week (TWR). He's done a great job so far! The only detail he usually tells me about each day was what was for snack, and if he ate it or not.  He's remembered a few songs and saying from school, but he doesn't "remember" much from day to day. 

He's been growing like a weed! I've had to start buying him all size 5 things for this fall/winter, and he's in to a size 11 shoe! 

I made him a morning chore chart to follow on school mornings and he prides himself in doing his chore chart with no help. It just has his routine- eating breakfast, brushing teeth, washing hands, etc. But he likes being independent and doing it without being told!

He has LOVED reading and watching the Richard Scarry books and shows. My MIL bought him a book for his birthday, and when I was at Toys R Us and saw a $5 movie, I had to get it! We've added many books and two more movies to our collection and both boys just can't seem to get enough! But they are good wholesome shows and books, so I don't mind!

He is been into building with anything he can get it hands on! His favorites being Tinkertoys, Bristle Blocks, Duplos, Magneatos, and MegaBlocks. I'm pretty amazed at his skills- he uses symmetry just as I did when I was a kid! It's fun seeing him get into a new activity!

He still loves his DC SuperFriends and all the Imaginext toys we've acquired over time! I feel we've single-handedly kept Fisher Price in business this past year! But it makes for some great imaginary play, so I can't really complain!

He's done great riding his bike! He learned to ride without training wheels last fall when he was 3.5, but he couldn't quite get started on his own, up until now. So now, he can just get on and get going without needing help from us! I'm still amazed he picked it up so fast!
He starts swimming lessons at the YMCA next week, for 8 sessions. He really excelled at swimming towards the end of the summer, so we are both excited to see what he can do with formal lessons!

We are trying to do "homework" a few times week, mostly working on handwriting and basic language and math skills. He seriously lacks some fine motor skills, so I'm trying to get him as much practice as possible before he enters kindergarten next year. He's got the knowledge down pat, he just can't write a darn thing! We also need help with drawing and coloring- he still just scribbles all over the page, without even trying to actually color in an object, or dry a picture.

He's such a sweetheart and still loves snuggles from his mom! He always wants to play with me and asks frequently if we can do things "just the two of us." He still loves cuddling with Cuddles and Blue Blanket. His bed is over halfway covered with other animals and blankets. He just has a soft spot for his furry friends!

We still have our moments where he needs alot of discipline and guidance in being a good example for his little brother, but I'm sure that's something that will never change, just evolve. 

I just love my little man and I enjoy seeing him grow and change each day! I'm pretty sure he grows overnight sometimes and I just stare at him in awe, and wonder how in the world my baby can be so big!!

I LOVE YOU GRANT!

47 months old?!?

I remember when I could say Grant's age by the month, without having to do any math! Now I have to do some multiplication just to figure it out! Guess that means my little guy is getting way to big!! He hits the Big 4 next month, and I just can't believe it!

He continues to amaze me everyday by the way his mind works! He's such an imaginative kid! And he also has an amazing memory! He loves to tell knock-knock jokes (even though they make no sense!) and laughs hysterically at himself!! He's got a great sense of humor, for sure! (As I type this, he ran in to my room and said, "TaDa- Banana Pants! That's silly, bananas don't wear pants!)

He knows all his letters- uppercase and lowercase- and the sounds they all make. He's even starting to sound words out, so I think turning 4 will bring lots of educational growth! He loves to do "school games" with me FINALLY! He can count to 18 and recognizes numbers 0-9. He still needs some work on fine motor skills, such as tracing letters and cutting. But he tries hard! He loves making letter E's! He recognizes all coins, shapes, and is awesome at making patterns! He will start preschool when we move, at some point, so I can only imagine the lengths he will grow!

He learned how to ride a bike with no training wheels! It's amazing watching him take off and just go go go! I can't wait to get to our new house where we have a whole street and culdesac for him to ride! 

We still struggle with his eating habits, as he still does not try new things! We keep telling him when he turns 4 he has to start eating like a grown up, so we'll see how he takes to that! He just started coming out of his room, for the first time. So we got him a clock that lights up when its ok to come out of his room. He gets up in the morning and comes out and he says, "I woke up like a grown up!"

He loves watching Octonauts, Mike the Knight, and Max and Ruby. He pretends to be a different character everyday and I can only call him by his character name! He's so funny about that!

He wears a 4T (and sometimes 5T) in shirts and 4T in shorts/pants. He wears a 9.5 shoe. He went to the doctor last week and was 39in. and 34lbs. His legs have grown like crazy since last summer, since all his shorts are now way above his knee!

Hopefully the transition to the new house will be good to him! Hopefully he will be happy with the fact that his little brother will also be his roommate! 

I can't wait to see all the amazing things you do when you turn 4 kiddo!!

I LOVE YOU!

Wyatt (GASP!) is Almost Two?!?

I can't believe this little man will be 2 years old next month!!! Sometimes, when I think back to last year, I think he was just a baby, but it wasn't last year- it was two years ago!! He brings such joy to our lives, its hard to remember what life was like with just one child!! 

Wyatt definitely hit the terrible two's- about 6 months ago! He's just a quick developer, what can I say!?  He's got a strong attitude and knows what he likes and what he doesn't like and he's quick to call you on it! He still loves to be held ALL THE TIME still. He runs right up in front of me and says, "Up! Up! Up!"  and when I don't pick him up, he cries and cries and cries. Sometimes he will settle for holding my hand, but not usually! He is still quite the mama's boy, without a doubt! Poor Levi doesn't get too much snuggles these days!

Sleeping still isn't his strong suit. He goes to bed great, which is a plus! But he will still wake up and cry some nights, for no reason. He usually goes to timeout then, even if its 3am, so I think he's starting to get the hint that crying isn't worth it. He wakes up in the morning anywhere between 5:45 and 6:45 and is always happy! But naptime is a different story- he wakes up so grumpy!! But nothing a few snuggles and watching a show won't cure!

He loves Max and Ruby, Backyardigans, Wonder Pets, and whatever else Grant watches (usually Octonauts or Mike the Knight!). He plays on his own very well! Some of his favorites at the moment are Little People, airplanes, puzzles, shape sorters, and all Grant's Imaginext toys! He loves riding his little bike outside! He zooms around so fast! 

He wears 12-18 month bottoms, 24 month shirts, and 18 month jammies! He's starting to become a little true to size- he's always been on the small side! He is in a size 4 diaper and a size 6 shoe. He loves wearing his ball cap when we go out and about. He finally cut all his teeth. They aren't in all the way yet, but I think the worst is over!

He says quite a few words, but hasn't started putting sentences together. He's a late talker like his brother was. But if Grant is any indication, he won't shut up by the time he turns 3!! 

He is such a sweet boy and has such a good heart. He's very sensitive and is always sympathetic to anyone sad or hurt. He gives the sweetest kisses, grabbing your chin and pulling you close! He is a funny guy and loves to make everyone laugh! So even amongst all the tears he gives us, he still makes us smile most of the time!!

Next week will bring big changes his way- new house, new room, new roommate, and new BUNK BEDS!! We will see how the transition goes!!

1 Year, 7 Months, 2 Weeks

You, my dear Wyatt, are a piece of work!! You are still just a tiny guy, but with a big attitude! You make me smile til it hurts and your hugs and kisses melt my heart!! I love being your mama!

You are slowly adding new words to your vocabulary, but you're still the strong silent type and prefer to grunt or just smile when we ask you to tell us what you want! Some words you say are: Mama, Dada, Bubba, Mimi, PawPaw, Dixie, ball, boat, bath, bike, star, bowl, backpack, "red belly" (a game you and Daddy play), more, please, no, uh-huh, bye-bye, hi. I know there's more! 

You love animal sounds! You woof, meow, neigh, moo, ribbit, or squeak whenever you see animals! Your favorite being dogs, or woof-woofs as you call them.

You love singing songs that have actions and get so excited when you hear them in the car! Your favorites are Wheels on the Bus, Itsy Bitsy, I Can Wiggle (that we sing at story time), and This Little Piggy.

You still LOVE all your lovies- big star lovie, small star lovie, white lovie, and woof-woof. You suck your thumb still when touching a lovie or even saying the word. We are trying to break you of it, but no such luck! We recently added a big pillow to your bed and you were very proud and excited about that! Mimi made you a pumpkin pillow case just like Grant's, so you thought that was pretty cool! You go to bed about 8pm and wake up about 6:30am. You take a nap from about 1-2:30. On average, you sleep 2 hours less than Grant each day- I say its because you want to spend extra time with me! :)  No attempts of climbing out of your crib yet, so hopefully it stays that way!

You're starting to get quite picky with your food. You seriously eat about a quarter of what you did a few months ago. But you're still growing and have plenty of energy! I'm hoping its just a phase and you'll be back to your garbage disposal self soon! You LOVE grapes, cereal, cheese, pancakes, and mandarin oranges. 

You love brushing your teeth each day and taking your vitamins! You call them "numma nums" because I refer to them as gummies. 

You love playing Little People, Batcave, riding bikes, and anything else Grant has his hands on. You boys fight constantly! And you're usually the bully! You yell "NO!" at the top of your lungs over and over.You're very lucky to have a big brother who doesn't fight back!

You are wearing 12 or 18 month shirts and 9 or 12 month shorts or pants. Small fry!! You're in a size 4 diaper and a size 5 shoe. You can't wear any of Grant's clothes he wore when he was your age- they are 2 size too big! You have 12 teeth. 

You're such a lovey little guy who still loves to be held and snuggled! You get jealous if I'm holding Grant, or if I'm cuddling with Daddy. You're very possessive of your mama!!

Part of me is anxious for you to get bigger, talk more, and play games with your brother! But the other part of me wants to bottle you up as you are and keep you tiny forever!!

3 Years, 7 Months, 2 Weeks

I can't believe how big you're getting Mr. Grant!! You are just this ball of energy, smiling and giggling at all times! These past few months have brought a lot of change upon you, but you still remain just as spunky and happy as ever! I'm such a proud mama!!!

Your favorite thing to play is superheros or rescue boat, which still involve superheros. You LOVE LOVE LOVE all your Imaginext toys and we play with them constantly. You love to make up storylines, but usually need my help to continue the story. I love your innocence when we play- the boys guys are always just misunderstood. The Joker will say, "I wasn't trying to hurt you, I just wanted play with you." Or the mean shark says to the little fish, "I wasn't going to eat you, I just want to be your friend." So cute!  You're alwyas on the lookout for the next Imaginext toy you want on your "wishlist."

I recently started a chore chart for you, and you love it! If you do all your chores for the entire week, you get to put a magnet on your chart- one step closer to picking something out on your wishlist! You have two chores each day- anything from putting laundry away to emptying trash cans to school work. You LOVE all your chores and think they are super fun!! You've done a great job with everything!

You're still a picky eater as ever! You love pizza lunchables (cold, without sauce!), mac & cheese, Mini-Wheats cereal, pancakes, and french toast. Making meals for you is VERY hard, and your bad habits are starting to rub off on your brother! Someday, hopefully, you'll eat like a normal person!

You're learning to ride a two-wheel bike, and if you cared at all, you'd be cruising down the street all by yourself, because you can definitely do it! You just don't know you can! 

You know all your letters, capital and lowercase, and are starting to spell words on your own and sound out words you hear! I love it!!!

My Dear Sweet Grant,

You, my little buddy, are a big 3 year old boy now!! You definitely have a specific personality all your own!! You can be so pleasant at times and so unpleasant other times! I joke that we're going to have to replace the floors in your "timeout spot" because you're wearing a hole in it, but I also say that you are the sweetest boy ever!! It all depends on the moment!!

Recently, you've been experimenting with using slang or random phrases! It cracks me up every time I hear a new expression and I always wonder how you learn these things! The other day, you said, "Everything's under control." You also told me, "Just don't worry about it, Mom." And, "All systems- a-o-k!" I think most of those sayings came from a Backyardigans episode! But I like when you use them in daily conversation!

Here are some other funny things you've said lately:

• Whenever someone walks into a room where you are, or you walk into a room where I am you say, "Oh, Hi Mom." Like you didn't expect to see me there or something!
• If I ask you a question, like- "Do you want to go to the store with me?" you always answer, "Probably yes" or "Probably no" -depending on my question.
• Every morning when Daddy goes to work, you stand there and say in a sad voice, "I'm going to miss my dad." Then you gave a little fake sniffle.
• Whenever you and I play an imaginary game together, such as fireman, restaurant, doctor, etc- you always refer to me as "Fireman Mom" or "Customer Mom" or "Doctor Mom."
• You still don't really like your brother getting into your personal space and if you happen to notice Wyatt coming your direction, you wave your hand in front of him and say, "Shoo Wyatt. Shoo!"
• Whenever you refer to another person, they are usually "your best friend." You'll say, "I'm playing with the best friend Wyatt." Or "When's my best friend Dad coming home?" Or you'll meet a kid at the park and play with him for 5 minutes and you'll say, "He's my best friend."

You're a crack up almost all the time! Unless you're talking back! I used to be known to talk back to my parents all the time, or so they say. I just remember it as trying to defend myself, but whatever!! You find yourself in timeout quite a bit for using a bad tone when talking to me or your dad. But other times, you're the sweetest little guy, filled with lots of hugs and snuggles! You love to pretend to be Little Foot from The Land Before Time. You'll crawl up to me and snuggle into me like Little Foot did to his mother. Oh yeah, you also call me "Mother" ALOT!  But it sounds more like "mo-fo" which really makes me laugh!! But I cherish anytime I can get you to sit on my lap and snuggle, even if just for a few minutes.

You've been so into playing with your aircraft carrier and all the accessories you got for your birthday. You've watched the DVD that came with it ALL THE TIME, even if the only part you like is 5 minutes long. You keep wanting it to play on repeat!! You also love playing with your sea creatures, doctor set (you always have to be the patient), and anything that belongs to Wyatt- for some reason, you just can't stay away from the baby toys!

You've been wearing underwear all day for about 2 weeks now. Yesterday, though, was the first time you pooped in the potty! I'd been telling you for a few days that if you could go on the potty, we'd go get another airplane to go with your aircraft carrier toy. So as soon as the potty was flushed yesterday, we were in the car to Target to get your plane and you were soooo proud of yourself!! We were too!

You've become this little boy lately and I just can't believe my baby is getting so old!! You're so much fun and I love watching you learn and grow everyday!
