Not a day goes by that Grant and Wyatt don't ask to play with their friends!!! How lucky we were when we found out our neighbors have two little boys- almost 5 and almost 2! They became fast friends and have been inseparable ever since! During our heat spell the past few days, all the boys were anxious to splash and play in the water and they did just that! They poured, they splashed, they laughed!! Good times!! I thank God everyday for blessing us with a wonderful house, in a wonderful area, with wonderful neighbors that we can call friends!

Green Thumbs Up!
Last weekend, while I was in KC, Levi and the boys built this AMAZING strawberry planter! We go through strawberries like they are going out of style! So hopefully these little guys will pay for themselves over time! I love the design Levi used to build the planter. He said he just "winged it." How lucky and I to have my very own Handy Manny!??! I noticed a few little buds where future strawberries will grow!! Can't wait to eat the rewards...if we can keep our green thumbs in tact!!

April Splashing
I could not believe how hot it was this afternoon!! We tried playing outside before nap time, but we only lasted 5 minutes, and the boys still smelled like wet dog!! So I knew if we wanted to play outside in the afternoon, like we usually do, it would have to involve water!! Our water table is on its last leg, so I knew that wouldn't work. We don't have a pool yet- it is only April after all. So I did the next best thing- filled up two big toy tubs!! And that was all the boys needed!! Although, I did surprise them and fill up some water balloons! The balloons were just regular balloons filled with a little bit of water. That way, they lasted a lot longer since it was hard to break them. Grant even decided to play Easter Bunny and hide the water balloons! It was so cute! They played with these two tubs of water for an hour and a half!!!!!! I was sweating my rear off, so I had to dip my feet occasionally! Grant said the blue tub was the pool and the black tub was the hot tub!! Oh, the imagination!!
Mr. Pink Cheeks
Wyatt has always had THE BEST skin coloring. He was born with jaundice and just kept that tan going, although, in a healthy way!! He gets super tan, even in the shade!! Lucky guy!! One thing he gets, though, are pink pink cheeks! It doesn't matter how long we stay outside when its hot- they turn pink immediately!! I just love the cherubic glow it gives him!
We were outside for all of 5 minutes this morning and his cheeks were glowing bright when we came in! Granted, it was about 85 degrees, but still! I just love those pink cheeks! They make me want to eat him up even more!
What in the....
I can just read Wyatt's mind: "What in the world are you doing?!? Boy, I can't wait til I can do that!"

Fix It Boys
It's been windy and kinda gross outside, which always makes me just want to lay around and watch TV. My boys, however, still have plenty of energy to spare. So I backed my car out and let the boys go crazy in the garage since they couldn't go outside. They rode their bikes for a bit, played with some pieces of mis-cut wood, and "mowed" the garage. Then they decided to make a fix-it shop for all their bikes! It was so cute! I love that they are getting old enough to play games together. There is A LOT of fighting still, but they can at least engage each other for a little while! I know it will only get better with age! But I am enjoying my few minutes of freedom they give me now and again!

An Easter Birthday Extravaganza!
This weekend, we had a duel Birthday and Easter celebration! My niece, Haylie, turns two today so we had a little party this weekend! Breanna went all out and all the kids had a fabulous time! She had delicious treats, adorable decorations, and a fun and festive Easter Egg hunt, complete with loaded baskets!! Haylie had a great time opening all her presents and ALL the kids enjoyed playing with them!
On Sunday, my mother-in-law made a fabulous Easter lunch for the whole family!! She had goodie bags for all the kids, so they got even MORE fun Easter treats!! After our Easter lunch, we had ANOTHER birthday celebration! This time, Sunday was actually Breanna's (my sister-in-law) birthday, and my birthday and Summer's (my sister-in-law) birthday are within the next two weeks! Then we headed outside to do a mini photo shoot with the kiddos!! Its pretty darn impossible to get a perfect pictures of 4 kids, 4 and under! But we got some pretty cute ones nonetheless!
This morning, the boys found that the Easter Bunny came last night!! He brought them another basket full of goodies and hid plenty of eggs around the living room! Grant was so excited to get his very own chocolate bunny, wind-up penguin, and an Easter bunny snow globe! Wyatt loved his chocolate bunny and chocolate sports balls!
What a wonderful and blessed Easter it was!! We are so happy we got to spend this holiday with family! We haven't had that opportunity too many times! The boys were at a great age to enjoy all the festivities!

Coloring Eggs
I was beginning to think we were going to run out of time to color our eggs this year! But we squeezed it in after dinner tonight! Luckily, my boys were not patient enough to let the eggs sit in their cups for too long, so it only took us about 10 minutes! They loved using their spoons to stir the eggs in their cups. Grant wanted to pull them out just after dropping them in, but I got him to wait a few extra seconds!! I always loved letting my eggs sit for really long time- especially in the blue!! But I guess my kids aren't like me when it comes to that!! And fortunately, there were no spills, no drops, nothing! PHEW!
I noticed as I was taking a picture of the finished eggs, I saw the verse, "This is the day which the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it." Psalms 118:24. Very fitting for the Easter season!
Easter Egg Lunch Hunt
I saw THIS on Pinterest and knew my boys would love me forever if I did this with them! And I was right!! Of course, they'd love me anyway, but I did get double the hugs and "Thank you!"s after this!! I made an Easter Egg Lunch Hunt. I made bite size everything and put it into Easter eggs. Grant's were blue and green and Wyatt's were orange and purple. That way, no one ended up with all grapes and no m&m's. Although the found each other eggs in the hunt, we just separated them afterwards! They had so much fun!! And honestly, they probably ate better this way than with a normal lunch! Inside the eggs were: grapes, goldfish crackers, apple jacks, PB&J dots, string cheese cut in circles, and a few m&m's. Hopefully this will be a fun tradition from here on!!

2 and 4 Year Stats
The boys had their 2-year and 4-year well checks this morning! I've been anxious to see how big my boys have grown since last year! We've been lucky that they've been relatively healthy, so we haven't made many trips to the doctor this year! Here are last years stats for comparison.
Wyatt
Weight: 25.5 lbs (19th percentile)
Height: 32.3 in (5th percentile)
Head: 19.5 in (70th percentile)
So pretty much, Wyatt is short, kinda skinny, with a big head! But he sure is cute that way! He still isn't talking in sentences yet, but he says every word under the sun, so the doctor wasn't concerned.
Grant
Weight: 34.5 lbs (40th percentile)
Height: 40.7 in (46th percentile)
Grant has grown about 4 inches since last year, all in his legs too!! The kid's got crazy long legs now! He's still not eating like a normal 4 year old, so its no wonder he hasn't gained much weight! The doctor was impressed by his vocabulary and his following instructions!
I just pulled out Grant's old clothes to put into Wyatt's drawers. As I was pulling out the clothes, I had a hard time believing Wyatt is already as old as Grant when Wyatt was born! I have pictures of Grant in these clothes holding Wyatt when he was just a newborn. It just blows my mind how fast the past few years have gone!
I'm sure next year, as I type their 3 and 5 year old stats, the same thoughts will cross my mind. How are my boys getting so big so fast?!?!?
