Church Hair
I can probably count on one hand the amount of times I've actually combed my boys' hair. Grant's hair has to stay pretty short since its so coarse. Wyatt's is pretty silky, but he can get a pretty severe case of bed head when his hair gets too long. But we decided, when we go to church, we might actually have our kids look a little more presentable than normal, and that means combing their hair. Grant always likes his hair spiked, and we think Wyatt looks pretty dapper with his hair parted and smoothed out! Messy hair or not, I think these two boys are pretty darn handsome!
Horsing Around
Before bed each night, we all gather in the living room and Levi or I read a few books to the boys in the recliner. When the books are done, they always ask for a "special ride" to bed. Levi decided to give them a special ride, alright! Just like my dad used to give to me and my sister. In fact, I KNOW I have at least one picture that looks just like this when I was about Grant's age. My boys are so lucky to have a Daddy who likes horsing around, just as much as they do!!
Feeding the Geese
On Saturday after dinner, we headed to Meadowlake Park to feed the ducks and geese. When we were there to ride the train, we saw a ton of geese in the pond. It was such a beautiful day on Saturday, I thought that would be the perfect end to our day, and it definitely was!! The geese were more thrilled to see the entire package of hamburger buns we brought! In fact, they practically swarmed us, and one goose even ate out of Grant's hand! Grant loved getting down on their level, eye to eye. Wyatt kept asking to pet them and was quite disappointed that they all ran away from him. But they gobbled up every last crumb of bread we had! We watched the train go around the park a few times and then headed to Sonic for dessert!
I love summer weekends!!
Goggly Eyes
We got each of the boys a pair of goggles, in preparation for this year's summer swimming season!! We are hoping to spend a lot of time in the water, whether it be in our front yard, the base pool, and ESPECIALLY the Lake in a few weeks! Not that I expect them to wear these goggles at all, but they actually did for quite a while in our little pool in the front yard!! They were just so cute!
