Boys Christmas Pics

One of my dear friends is a photographer and offered us a chance to have a little mini session with her to try out some props. I couldn't say no to her amazing work! I loved these pictures so much, they were featured on our Christmas card this year!

Family Pictures 2016

I try and get our family pictures taken once a year, but I didn't think it was going to be in the cards this year. That is, until my moms group offered mini sessions for a great deal! I jumped on it and am so thankful we did!! I only got two prints, but didn't need anymore after seeing these!

Broeckelman Family Picture

After Layton's birthday party, we gathered together for a family picture! Its a rarity to have everyone there for a gathering, so we took advantage! It had been 3 years since our last group family picture and all the kids look way different now! Luckily Bre's parents were there to snap a few for us, and believe it or not, we got a pretty darn good one!!!

Fall Family Photos

I absolutely love getting our pictures done every fall! Its such a perfect backdrop and I love seeing the changes in our little boys at the same time each year! When our planned photo session was coming near, I checked the bank statement over and just couldn't use that chunk of change that needed to be used elsewhere, so we had to cancel. I figured I could swing a few generic pictures outside and maybe use our tripod to get at least 1 family photo. After all, it had been two years since our last family photo session!! About that same time, a dear friend of mine, who is a photographer, offered to give our family a free session as a welcome home gift for Levi and I. I jumped at the chance!!! They turned out beautifully!! I am so thankful for these captured moments, and also for dear friends who take such good care of us!

Fall Pictures

Somehow, I managed to forget the pictures the boys and I had taken this past fall!! So better late than never!! I love looking back at our pictures we take each fall. The boys get so much bigger and more mature year after year. Of course that's to be expected, but I don't always realize the change until I see the pictures in comparison. My sweet boys mean the world to me!! If only their amazing dad was there with us as well!! Next year, well, really because this is so late, this year!!!

Pictures Before Pictures

Every year, about this time of year, we find a beautiful fall backdrop for our family pictures! Even though Levi isn't here, I knew I'd regret not getting the boys pictures taken! Afterall, I'm a sucker for comparison pictures year to year!! So when I found out one of the photographers I've used in the past was doing mini-sessions, I jumped!! Yesterday was a pretty warm day for fall, but the trees and colors were just amazing!! I was on picture taking overload, I couldn't stop! I managed to get a few pictures before our pictures! Can't wait to see how the real pics turn out!!!

Family Pictures

It happens once a year. We find a photographer, I think (and rethink and rethink) about our outfit choices. We find the perfect location and I start planning my Christmas card. Yes, it must be family picture time! Sure I take pictures of my little family all year long, but we hardly ever have pictures of the FOUR of us, and nicely done and edited! So a few weekends back, we got our chance! I used a lady on base that I didn't know, but she was cost-effective and seemed to do nice work! I was pretty happy with the results, other than the random smiles the boys were giving and their non-compliance to look at the lady when she asked. They were kind of in their own world, for whatever reason. The sun set on us a little too quickly, but we got what we needed and that's all that matters!

My Little Family

It's very rare that all four of us are home together. Very rare. Sunday's are always a wonderful day (when Levi is home) because we get our mornings at home, Church together, and the rest of the day is ours as a family!! Its sometimes spent running errands, but its mostly fun activities done as a family!! And because it is such a rare thing, we embrace every moment!!!

This morning, after we all got ready for church and had a few extra minutes to spare, we took out our tripod to capture our little family all together! Capturing the four of us in a picture happens maybe three times a year, if we're lucky!! Thanks to our trusty tripod (Thanks Barb!), we can hopefully capture our family a little more often!!

Wyatt and that darned lovey....it will be with us for life...
