We had quite a few beautiful spring days so far and we try to enjoy them to the fullest when they happen! This day was SO perfect, it was one of those days where it was so hard to pull them inside to shower and get ready for bed, since it was a school night. I wanted to stay outside til the sun went to sleep, but I resisted! It makes us so hungry for summer break! We can't wait!

One of Those Nights
Tonight was one of those nights where I wish I had a button to make time freeze. It was one of those nights that my heart was so full of joy I couldn't stop smiling. It was one of those nights that I couldn't stop saying, "Thank you God! Thank you God!"
Perfect weather + Happy children = LOVE
You can take the gymnast out of the gym, but you can't take the gym away from the gymnast!

Fishing Fun
I used to babysit ALL THE TIME when I was younger. I can't believe that most of the kids I babysat for are all adults! It blows my mind. So I can only imagine how my old teacher from elementary school- I used to babysit her kids very often- feels when my kids now come over to play at her house! Kelly was my 8th grade English teacher and her kiddos were itty bitty babies when I started watching them!! We've kept in touch over the years and now that I'm back in Kansas, she has invited us to come over and play/visit. Amongst her three kids I used to babysit, she also has a 12 year old son who Grant and Wyatt both adore. They also love the huge pond in their backyard that is perfect for fishing!! So we set up a fun fishing afternoon! The boys went off with Topher while Kelly and her now-grown-up kids all sat around and talked! Both boys each caught a fish, and they were so so excited! Wyatt has never caught a fish before so he proudly proclaimed, "This is the very first fish I have ever caught in my whole entire life!" It was awesome!!!
Of course, neither of my kids touched the bait or the actual fish. Thank goodness Topher was there! Wyatt's fish wiggled off the hook before we could get a good picture, so I had to snap this one real fast before he flopped back in the water.
And I didn't get there fast enough to catch Grant's fish on his pole, as his wiggled off too quickly too! I caught it just in time before Topher threw it back in the pond! Phew!
They're already planning their next fishing trip for later this summer, but they're most excited about going back in the winter when the pond is frozen over to ice skate!!!

Swinging, Sliding, and Flipping
The clubhouse Levi built is probably the best thing we could've ever given the boys!! It got so much use in Oklahoma, and just as much use here in Kansas! As they get older, its funny to see them use it in different ways!!! And the addition of the trampoline just makes the backyard even more of a hit!! They spend quite a bit of time swinging, sliding, and their newest favorite- flipping!!! I have a feeling once Levi gets home, they were will be new additions made to the clubhouse that includes more gymnastics activities!!
