You can't have Easter and NOT color eggs!! The boys had been asking and asking when it was time to color eggs. We were already in the Easter spirit from their school party on Thursday afternoon, so it was the perfect day for it! In fact, it was so perfect that we did it twice, because 1 dozen eggs just wasn't enough!! Lots of dipping and mixing and stirring! They made beautiful eggs!! My favorite is, and will always be, the blue egg! I can't wait for the day when I get them to leave it in there for more than 1 minute!!! They are already asking when we can dye eggs again!! I just love this tradition!!

School Easter Party
The boys had their Easter party at school on Thursday morning! Wyatt was so excited to be able to participate this year, as he remembers watching Grant do it all last year! They knew they were in for some real fun! Unfortunately, they did their egg hunt before the party time started, so most of the parents missed it! Although it was a cold and windy 44 degrees when they did it, so apparently it lasted 5 minutes!! Too bad because it was such a memorable moment from last years party! I got to school as they were still in the classrooms playing Bingo- I love that their little faces light up when they seem me, so precious. After Bingo, they came into the Big Room to sit in their seats to listen to the real Easter Story. Ms. Terry does such a wonderful job of making it fun and interactive. To know that the boys truly understand the real meaning of Easter warms my heart! The boys each got to help lead a song, and there was alot more singing and dancing, palm waving, and they even got to have their very own Last Supper. Grant said he felt really special to have his own "communion." After sanctuary time, they enjoyed some cross cookies, an Easter story book, and then the even-popular musical chairs. Which is hilarious to watch, because they don't actually take any chairs away, yet the kids scramble each time as they try to find an open chair!! So funny!! And then, it was time to go and enjoy lunch with Luke and Ms. Lori! It was a fun party, filled with lots of Easter spirit!!
I told them to sit by each other, for the sake of pictures. But I actually believe they truly enjoy having each other there at school! Sweet brotherly love!!
Grant said it was the best day to actually give bunny ears in a picture. Sure, why not!?
I love this picture because you can see Grant and Wyatt looking at each other!! So special they get to share these moments together!!!
Only one more preschool party before the school year is over! Oh, how we will miss the wonderful traditions at Oakwood Christian Preschool!!

Mommy Moment
I saw this picture floating around Facebook and I had to share it because it was so heartfelt. It rings so true to my daily life now, and for many more months to come. And I'll be the first to admit that I take my children for granted. The moments they beg for food and hang on my leg and shout my name endlessly from across the house. The moments my house is a disaster, the laundry is never ending, the floors always need cleaning. The moments I count down the minutes til bedtime, or see the numbers the 6:30am on the clock because I hear tiny voices. Sometimes those moments are what I seem to focus on. But there are so so so many other moments that are fleeting and yet so important that I need to embrace them I have them, because someday they will be gone.
The moments when their faces light up as I drive up to pick them up from school. The moments I hear an "I love you mama" from my biggest boy. The moments Wyatt asks me to hold him and carry him and pats my back as I do. The moments they wake up and come to my side of the bed every morning. The moments I ask Wyatt, "How did you get so cute?" and he responds, "Because my mom is so beautiful." The moments I paint my toes and Grant asks what flavor I used. The moments they cry because they don't want me to go somewhere without them. The moments we play together, cry together, pray together, live together.
These are the moments with my boys I want etched in my memory forever.
Because one day they will be too big, too cool to kiss their mom goodbye as they go to school. One day they will sleep til noon and I'll have to go to their side of the bed to wake them up. One day they will have a wife and kids of their own who they will be snugging with instead.
But no matter what, I'll always be their mom and I am so happy that I am!!!
Egg Hunt Lunch!
It has become a tradition each year to do an Easter Egg Lunch Hunt! The boys ask as soon as they see an Easter Egg at a store if we are going to our lunch hunt! And of course we are!! So today, after a fresh trip to the commissary, I got busy stuffing and hiding eggs! I know these little traditions are what my boys will remember about their childhood and are the glue that holds their happy memories forever!
Easter Friend Party!!!
To say that we cherish our time with the Westfall family is an understatement. We have been so lucky to have found friendships so true. Thank goodness Grant and Gracie Beth had such an affection for each other, that they led Wyatt to form a friendship with Luke, and me to have found a dear friend in their mom, Lori. We really are two peas in a pod! It's kind of remarkable and I feel so blessed to have a friend like her!!!
Lori and I appreciate a good holiday to do special activities with our littles. She is so on the ball that she even plans special parties just for us!! And last week, we had a super fun Easter party on a super beautiful day!! Lori made special treats, including her world famous cake pops (I seriously ate like 5 or 6!), bunny trail mix, and adorable festive decor!! Not to mention a 48-egg hunt outside for the kiddos!!! It was such a fun day of outside fun! Riding bikes, playing in the dirt, and whatever imaginary thing Luke and Wyatt had going on! It was even so warm, the kids even got to play in the water table! We literally stayed all afternoon and watched our kiddos giggle and play and enjoy their best friends!!
We will miss them terribly when we move, but we know distance will not keep us from continuing to enjoy our friendships! That just means lots of fun road trips ahead of us!!
New House!
In just two short weeks, we are closing on our forever home. The house I've been dreaming of since we got married. The house we will watch our boys grown into men. The house where we will eventually become empty nesters and watch our grandchildren grow. So much life is going to happen in that house and we are so so excited to continue our life journey there!
Once we get there and I take pictures of my own, I'll share more. But here are the first few glimpses of our new home!
And of course, with a backyard like this, we have to have one of these.....
Enjoying Nature
We will miss so much of our life here in Enid. Friends. School. Church. Neighbors. We have really enjoyed our time here (well, if you don't include the ridiculous work hours for Levi!). One thing in particular I know we will miss is the land around our house. We really have a good set up going on here. And I know I've written about it before, but every time we are out in our yard, I can't help but think how thankful I am we have had the opportunity to live here!
I know the boys will miss it for sure. Lately, on the days we've had good weather, we've been enjoying nature down at the pond at the culdesac. Grant has found his favorite tree to climb and we've enjoyed roasting marshmallows and having fires! Such happy times as a family!! While our new house has a large yard, we won't have the luxury of woods, and ponds, and firepits. So we're enjoying nature here in Waukomis while we still can!

Haylie's 4th Birthday
We went out to Oakley to celebrate Haylie's 4th Birthday!! Hard to believe all our little ones are getting to be so big!! We were so excited to celebrate Haylie's special day on a day when it was so beautiful!! She hasn't had the best of luck when it comes to nice weather on her party days! It's always been cold, or windy, or extremely windy!! But today it was perfect!! A wonderful day to play outside and celebrate with a garden party!!
We got there late afternoon, just in time for the kids to run and play! Zach gave the kids bike trailer rides, Grant played basketball, and there was lots of running, and giggling!! Of course, Breanna doesn't do a birthday party without special games!! I missed this part, but they did a "bug hunt" in the backyard looking for plastic bugs! They all thought that was neat!! The got to decorate a flower pot and plant their very own flower. Then it was time for dinner and cake and presents!!
I love how Haylie has her own special personality. She knows what she likes, and she definitely knows what she doesn't like!! She is just like me when I was a kid, I think that's why she and I are such good buddies!! She was super excited to get a baseball bat and glove and cowboy boots! She also loves her Duplos!!
It was a fun time celebrating such a sweet girl with all our family!!
Cute cousins...and we are so lucky Zach and Breanna are going to even things out with a precious little boy on the way!
Grant LOVES his baby cousin Collins. She's such a little sweetie!
Happy Birthday Haylie!!!!

Almost Summer Play
We had a few unseasonably warm days and we took full advantage! One afternoon it got up to the upper 80s, low 90s. Since the boys are so so so excited to move to our new house to have a pool, they are just waiting and waiting to go swimming! But they decided a big bucket of water works just as well!! Wyatt got a set of new water guns for his birthday they were just itching to try! So we swimsuited up and headed outside! They probably played for over an hour!! It was such a delight to sit and relax with the sun on my face!! Made me so excited to have a little taste of summer!
Grant was conducting an experiment, which he likes to do quite often. He was seeing which one crumbled first when it got wet- dirt or chalk. Dirt won!
It's almost summer and WE ARE READY!!!!!!!!!!
