Trains and Snowcones

We had a super fun Memorial Day!! Together as a family, I might add! That hasn't happened in at least the past two years!! We started the morning off with washing the cars and heading to base to go bowling! After naptime, we headed into town to buy the boys a pool and then grilled out for dinner. After that, we ventured on to probably the best part of the day- Trains and Snowcones at Meadowlake Park. There isn't a whole lot that Enid has going for it, but one of its saving graces is that park. The equipment is kind of shotty and the landscape needs a little tending, but in the summers, it can't be beat! The Kiwanis have a train they run around the whole park for $1 a ride! There are also snowcones and miniature golf. I mean really, does it get much better than that?
The boys had no idea where we were going, so when we pulled in the parking lot, they about jumped out of their car seats. Grant yelled, "Thanks Mom and Dad!!!!" We got our tickets and boarded the train! The boys sat in the row in front of us and the entire time, they kept looking back at us, grinning from ear to ear!! Priceless!!! Of course, Wyatt was sad when we had to get off. He kept saying, "I love that train!" But heading over to get snowcones made the sadness go away! Our plan was to eat them in the back of Levi's pickup, but the sun was scorching, so we opted to put their little chairs under a shade tree. I immediately looked at them and said, "Oh no, they're wearing white shirts!" That's just a combination I was not prepared for, so we stripped them off. They didn't care, and they looked gosh darn cute! After we gobbled down a cherry and watermelon snowcone, we came home, stripped them completely, and let them rinse off in the pool!
Right now, they are snoozing away, probably dreaming of trains and snowcones!
HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!!!!!

I love that middle picture where they are both in their adirondack chairs with the same facial expression sitting in the same exact manner! Makes me kinda want a brother for Drew someday instead of a sister!
