Wyatt, the Ring Bearer

My cousin, Chris, has always been my buddy. He's 9 years younger than me and he and I have always had a special relationship. As we've gotten older and I've moved back to Kansas, we've had the chance to spend more time together and my boys have gotten to love him as well! So when Chris got engaged last year, he asked Wyatt to be his ring bearer. Of course, Wyatt said, "NO!" But when I assured him it was a whole year away and he'd be 5.5 by then, he was going to do a great job as a ring bearer. Months went by and he still seemed wary about his big job! But with the wedding getting closer and closer, Wyatt started getting more and more excited! When he got fitted for his outfit, he was full on ready for the challenge!! Wedding day came and it was the most beautiful day for a wedding I could've imagined!!! Wyatt suited up, spiked his hair perfectly- side note: he practiced spiking his hair a few days before and was so specific about how he wanted it to look. He wanted it spiky, but also to the side. Too funny! Levi helped him get all dressed and dapper, and my heart melted as he walked out of the changing room. He was soo handsome!!! And not only that, but he was so confident and all business!! He was taking his job very seriously! Such a riot!! I had to do a little mini model session with him because I was kind of obsessing about how cute he was!! Wyatt did so great at the wedding! He was all about the business, and walked right on cue- not too fast, not too slow. He carried that little box all the way to the front of the aisle and came and sat by us. He was the perfect and most adorable little ring bearer of all time!

Chris and Abbey Get Married!

So I realize none of these pictures actually have Chris or Abbey in them, but I didn't get any pictures of them on my phone. BUT- I did some cute pictures of my beautiful family!!

Oh, here is one of the most adorable married couple EVER!!!

PawPaw's Birthday

My dad celebrated his 65th birthday this year! We had a nice family dinner at my parents house! The boys love celebrating anyone's birthday! They always want to know what kind of cake the birthday person wants. They were super excited to see the big delicious cake my mom made! It was a great evening spending time celebrating PawPaw!

PawPaw and his little boys! They love their PawPaw so very much!!

PUMPKINS!!!

The sight of pumpkins makes my heart skip a beat! I just love seeing them out on display for the first time each fall! I just love fall so much! Such vibrancy, such beautiful colors and creations! I just love it! What especially love most is seeing my fellas with pumpkins! Probably my favorite time of all year to take pictures! It was a perfect fall day to head to the local church pumpkin patch and snap some pics!
Now this is the first year we've done this, but we actually bought our carving pumpkins at Hy-Vee, because I couldn't really pass up the 2/$10 they had going on and we got some HUGE pumpkins! Sometimes a good deal wins out! But that doesn't mean we can't go to the patch and still play and admire their pumpkins!
They had some HUGE pumpkins! Like-I'm not sure I could carry them to the car- BIG!! We had fun trying to find the biggest, or the bumpiest, or the weirdest shape! We also had fun just looking cute!
 Whooooooooo goes there??

Grant, of course, had his own ideas for photoshoots. He had Wyatt hold these bitty pumpkins to his years so he could be Frankenstein! He also used a gourd as a lasso and a pumpkin as a horse to be a cowboy! That boy- loves pictures, just crazy ones!

Pumpkin head!
My cuties in the patch!! Gosh I love them! Even more then I love pumpkins!!!

Fall/Halloween Stuff

Oh, how we love the mid-way through September mark! It means fall is around the corner and it makes us all giddy with excitement over here! Wyatt is usually my first to ask if we can get out our Halloween decorations and activities! So we thought the first day of Fall would be a great day to get out all our games and activities and get a little festive around here!!
I think our fall games are Wyatt's favorite! He just can't get enough and I don't blame him! What's not to love about pumpkins and ghosts and games?!? We have a few fall Little People sets that the boys just adore! They like to play Farm and the tractors give hayrides to trick-or-treaters. It's quite cute to hear their play!
The halloween "school games" are Wyatt's favorite! He loves the gems, erasers, board games, etc etc. He just loves it all! We spend a good amount of our time in this area just doing what we do best!

He loves filling up the tiny halloween buckets with gems and erasers. He calls them party favors!
We made quite a few new board games this year, as he is one smart little cookie! So we had fun searching through TpT for some new free games! Catch the ghosts is a BIG hit!!! We also can't go wrong with BINGO, skip counting puzzles, and everything else really!
Wyatt helped me decorate the built-ins. I just love his ideas for where we should put things! He's got a pretty good eye!

Pumpkins at the store?? YES please!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And what holiday is complete without handprint/footprint art??
And of course, don't forget the art projects! Wyatt and I made this goofy pumpkin patch! Mom, he thinks the one on the left looks like you because it has "mimi hair!" And the set below is one of those foam kits. It looks adorable, but it might be one of the most frustrating things I've ever built! But it sure looks cute on our counter!
Today is finally October 1st, and there is so much more fall fun to be had!!! I can't wait!
